He stayed at the University of Michigan for Medical School, and pursued his Surgery and Urology training at the Albany Medical Center of Union College in Albany, New York.

Shortly thereafter, he received the Male Reproduction Prize Paper Award of the American Fertility Society (now known as the American Society of Reproductive Medicine) at their annual meeting, and presented his research findings at the main session of this conference attended by several thousand health care professionals and vasectomy reversal doctors.

Dr. Buch was then highly recruited by other medical centers for his expertise in Male Infertility and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal, and relocated to the University of Connecticut Medical Center in greater Hartford, Connecticut. Once again, vasectomy reversal doctor, Dr. Buch, established a new program at the University to train other vasectomy reversal doctors in the practice of Male Infertility and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal. He has served as a reviewer of articles for publication in the professional trade journals Fertility and Sterility, Journal of Andrology, and Urology for the past several years. After his second success in establishing a new training program in Male Infertility and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal, Dr. Buch was recruited to a private practice opportunity in greater Dallas/Fort Worth, where he established the North Texas Male Infertility Center in 1994.
