Jeff, "Doc" or Dr. Buch (he doesn't mind how you address him), grew up in Detroit, Michigan and obtained his Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. He stayed at the University of Michigan for Medical School, and pursued his Surgery and Urology training at the Albany Medical Center of Union College in Albany, New York.
Jeff studied with mentors in Urology with his research projects focused on Male Infertility and Vasectomy Reversal even at an early time in his training. He left Albany after completing his residency to pursue additional training in Male Infertility and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. After his 2 year Fellowship in Male Infertility and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal as one of only 5 American Urological Association Research Scholars in his year, Jeff was recruited to build a new Division of Male Infertility and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha Nebraska. Shortly thereafter, he received the Male Reproduction Prize Paper Award of the American Fertility Society (now known as the American Society of Reproductive Medicine) at their annual meeting, and presented his research findings at the main session of this conference attended by several thousand health care professionals and vasectomy reversal doctors.
Dr. Buch was then highly recruited by other medical centers for his expertise in Male Infertility and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal, and relocated to the University of Connecticut Medical Center in greater Hartford, Connecticut. Once again, vasectomy reversal doctor, Dr. Buch, established a new program at the University to train other vasectomy reversal doctors in the practice of Male Infertility and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal. During his time in Connecticut, Jeff published several more research papers, and trained several residents and 2 research fellows in the field of Male Infertility and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal. He has served as a reviewer of articles for publication in the professional trade journals Fertility and Sterility, Journal of Andrology, and Urology for the past several years. After his second success in establishing a new training program in Male Infertility and Microsurgical Vasectomy Reversal, Dr. Buch was recruited to a private practice opportunity in greater Dallas/Fort Worth, where he established the North Texas Male Infertility Center in 1994.
