Southwest Fertility Forum: San Antonio, Texas, May 1, 2010
Dr. Jeffrey Buch, Director of Legacy Male Health Institute and nationally recognized vasectomy reversal specialist, delivered two lectures as an invited speaker at the Southwest Fertility Forum in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday May 1, 2010 to an audience of approximately 80 gynecologists, nurses, embryologists and reproductive endocrinologists. His lectures were entitled “Office evaluation of the infertile male” and “Advanced techniques for sperm acquisition: vasovasostomy, MESA and TESE.” Dr. Buch relates that the lectures were well attended and generated interesting discussion points. The audience was especially interested in the use of sperm frozen at the time of vasectomy reversal, and in the methods used to retrieve sperm for use in cycles of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in the case of failed vasectomy reversal and in cases of non-obstructive azoospermia. Attendees came from as far away as New Jersey and Florida, as well as regional attendees from Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Dr. Buch received much positive feedback on his presentations and is grateful to the program director of the forum, Dr. Lisa Hansard, for inviting him to present his experience.
